The original Electric Tower in my exhibit Thompson & Dundy’s Luna Park: 3D Printed at the Coney Island Museum was out of scale with the rest of the model and lacked a lot of the ornate detailing of the later pieces. I spent a long time working on looking at historic photos and getting the details just right on the 3D model before beginning printing. It’s been printing in pieces for almost two months now and is finally almost ready for assembly! It will be taller than me- I can’t wait to see it all together. Here’s a glimpse of what the top assembly will look like!
