Coney Island Scan-A-Rama

The Great Fredini’s Coney Island Scan-A-Rama is a next generation portrait studio for the 21st century! In the grand tradition of amusement part portraiture, but updated for the era of 3D printing, the world’s first popup 3D portrait studio will be appearing in Coney Island and at Makerfaires throughout 2013 – 2014. Subjects visiting the studio can commission their very own action figure by being 3D scanned and receive a 3D print of themselves or their family. Select scans from the project have been posted to the project’s page on Thingiverse.

If you would like to get a 3D Portrait, come see us at an upcoming appearance:

Scan-A-Rama is open most Saturdays in Coney Island from 12-7pm at 1208 Surf Ave. between the shooting Gallery and the Freak Bar (near the corner of W.12th Street and Surf Ave.). View our Coney Island Schedule here.

Scan-A-Rama was made possible by YOU!

A huge round of thanks to everyone who made this project possible on Kickstarter! Without you, we would not be doing what we love. I still have not heard back from all our backers but I will keep this list updated as we get everyone’s name back as they would like it to be displayed. Thank you, all of you from the bottom of my heart!
